MICA & Laurence COURTO 13 .04- 20.05.2000

MICA & Laurence Courto

Joined together the time of an exhibition, Laurence Courto and Mica deposit on her paintings a part of life and thought.

To paint, it is to remind, it is to make disappear superfluity to preserve only the meaning of
the things, it is to fix a representation in the moment.

To emphasize this memory which the body expresses, it is necessary to turn over to the origin, this state
of thought which makes painting a birth. This share of original, of memory, brings closer work to L
Courto, of the figures of paleolitic which mix representational art and abstract art.

It is a writing where there is nothing to read and everything to see, to look at. Mica returns us to ourself to this "other " which is in each one of us and who emerges in her works.
